Food with cult status

Some foods are indestructible. Generational change nor current taste trends can have something them. Although Miracoli was certainly an integral part of my childhood, I eat today prefer a home-made tomato sauce. But the taste of Mircoli has is placed firmly in my memory, why this probably is?
